Exotic Plants: Beautiful Rarities or Nature Killers?

Exotic Plants: Beautiful Rarities or Nature Killers?
Though these exotic rarities look beautiful in gardens or in front of houses, they are in fact nature killers, if brought away from their natural habitat. Why? First of all think of the transport, probably flown by plane into the country and then by lorry to the shop. All this produces lots of carbon dioxide.
Now, let’s say this plant is an exotic flower from the rainforest. So for example the butterflies from that region will lose a plant from which to gain nectar if it is taken away and our butterflies do not like this exotic nectar. So who’s helped? Nobody!
Lastly if the plant is endangered, it could die out if too many of this species went to the wrong habitat.
The way to stop this is not to buy exotic plants in the first place, but to be content with plants from your country.
